Costa Rica Announces Special Country Trade Mission to TIC 2010
Monday, March 29, 2010
Costa Rica has announced that it will be sending a special delegation of businesses seeking new goods and services to The Trade & Investment Convention (TIC 2010) in May this year. TIC is the region’s largest business-to-business event and brings together manufacturers, service providers, exporters, distributors, financial institutions and investors from more than 35 countries.
Costa Rica’s TIC delegation will be comprised of buyers from businesses including seeking new sources of supply of raw materials, good and services. The Mission is being arranged and coordinated by PROCOMER, Costa Rica’s export promotion agency, which was invited to TIC 2010 by the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association, host of the Convention.
Ten companies will participate in the mission, from a variety of industries, including the agribusiness, construction and plastics sectors. According to PROCOMER, “some of the Mission delegates have either already done business in Trinidad and Tobago or visited TIC in previous years and have opted to return due to past positive experiences and opportunities to expand their current business portfolios.”
“We do have a few companies on the trip for whom, it will be their first experience—Costa Rican companies have had positive experiences with business in Trinidad and Tobago, working on building fruitful and long lasting relationships with companies in the Caribbean,” says PROCOMER.
PROCOMER’s representative believes TIC offers significant value to Buyers seeking new sources of supply and says the key to their success will be: “Networking with the right companies and representatives of those companies. The TIC has become more and more increasingly organised over the years and we expect this year to be even better.”
TIC 2010 takes place from May 19-22, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency, Trinidad and is hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association, The Ministry of Trade and Industry, First Citizens, TSTT, and RIM BlackBerry. News Archive >> |
